- Demographic information (optional, may be provided at your discretion in order to further personalize your user experience): Occupation, Tribal Affiliation, Veteran status, Disability status, and/or Homeowner status.
- Anonymized usage data: Non-identifiable information about the platform’s usage, performance, and navigation based upon the user’s engagement with the platform, such as page views, session duration, and technical performance metrics. Its purpose is solely to ensure the platform functions reliably and gather usage feedback to support continuous improvement.
2. How do we collect your data?
The Chickasaw Nation collects your data through Chokwaa in the following ways:
- Directly from you: When you create an account, complete or update your profile, log in, or submit information while applying for programs or services.
- Through Background Processes: Through authorized third-party tools that collect anonymized usage data (such as page views, session duration, and performance metrics) when you interact with the platform.
- Indirectly: Through essential browser cookies used to support secure login sessions and platform functionality (see Section 8 for more details on cookies).
3. How do we use your data?
The Chickasaw Nation uses your data collected through Chokwaa to:

- Data you provide through Chokwaa is securely stored on on-premise servers operated and controlled exclusively by the Chickasaw Nation.
- Access to identifiable data you provide through Chokwaa is restricted to authorized Chickasaw Nation departments, and only for legitimate operational purposes such as reviewing and processing applications, and/or offering customer support when directly requested.
- Anonymized usage data collected through Chokwaa may be processed by approved third-party tools for analytics, performance monitoring, and reporting purposes only.
5. Who will access and use your data?
- Within the Chickasaw Nation: Designated Chickasaw Nation employees may access identifiable user data provided through Chokwaa solely for legitimate operational purposes, including reviewing and processing applications, and providing customer support when you request it.
- Outside the Chickasaw Nation: Anonymized platform-usage data collected through Chokwaa may be accessible by approved third-party tools and used strictly for analytics and performance monitoring purposes. This data does not include profile or application information and cannot be used to identify individual users.
6. How do we use your data for communications and marketing?
Communications
- The Chickasaw Nation may use your contact information to communicate with you about your use of Chokwaa, subject to your consent.
- You may separately opt-in to receive email or text communications, including application status updates, account verification messages, and program announcements.
Marketing
- The Chickasaw Nation does not use Chokwaa for commercial marketing or advertising.
- Chokwaa does not send promotional communications on behalf of third parties and does not use marketing or advertising cookies.

Chokwaa uses cookies only to support essential functionality, including:
